Includes One MFJ-347 & 2 MFJ-1610T Ham Stick Antennas Assembly and tuning Instructions: 1 - Insert the stainless steel whip into the lower section ferrule about four inches and tighten the set screw. 2- Screw the ferrule/whip assembly into the fiberglass loading coil section. 3- Screw the fiberglass loading coil and stainless steel whip assembly into one of the 3/8 X 24 connections on the MFJ-347 4- Repeat the above steps for the other antenna section. 5- Install a VSWR meter at the transceiver and apply 10 to 25 watts of power. 6- Adjust the VSWR meter and output frequency for lowest VSWR reading, indicating resonance. 7- If resonant frequency is higher than desired, loosen the set screws and extend the stainless steel whips until the desired resonant frequency is found. 8- Be sure to adjust both stainless steel whips the same amount. 9- If resonant frequency is too low, loosen the set screws and adjust the whips further into the fiberglass sections. 10- Again, be sure to adjust both whips the same amount. 11- For best results, adjustments should be made in small increments. Caution: If required, cut off the bottom of the whips to ensure it does not extend down into the coil. Failure to observe this precaution will cause extreme heat damage and void the warranty. VSWR: At resonance, the VSWR should be 1.5:1 or less when properly matched. When tuning is complete, tighten the set screws securely.

A very well made product, the clamp on connector is solid and well constructed. The loading coil whips look well made and durable. Assembled and in the air within 30 minutes, including the time to tune the whips. Make sure that the bolts connecting the loading coil to the T connector are tight when assembling. The only criticism I have is I wish the whips were a bit longer, the SWR with the included whips at full extension is at a minimum in the middle of the 10 meter band. At the low end of the band in the digital portion, however, the SWR is within 2:1.
