MFJ-148RC is a specially designed clock for amateur radio. It has two independent atomic 24/12 hour clocks with exclusive UTC time zone and a dedicated Station ten minute ID timer.

It uses a single time base to keep both clocks perfectly synchronized.

It is radio controlled so it keeps perfect time.

Each clock can be independently set for 12 or 24 hour display, time zone and DST on/off.

Set one clock on 12 hour format for local time and the other clock on 24 hour format for UTC.

Turn DST off on the UTC clock and you will never have to worry about time changes messing up the UTC time again.
Never forget to ID again.

Built-in 10 minute station ID timer with LED and buzzer alerts.

Timer resets by a simple press of the timer switch.

Great for the Shortwave listener also.
I wanted a clock that displayed both my local time , UTC and didn't take up a lot of room. Well this clock is it. When I first got it, it had a hard time syncing with the time signal. no matter how long I tried. Walked all over the house and nothing. This was in the middle of the day, so I decided to try it at night. About 10PM my time, powered it up and it was synced in less than 2 minutes. Been solid ever since. Nice size, easy to read numbers looks great. I mounted it on my wall by my desk and radio. I really like it. It's a great little clock.

Perfect for shack desk
This is a neat shack accessory! After a lot of time spent indoors trying to get the atomic clock to sync, I went outside (it is 20 degrees here today!). It took a few trips around the yard moving and holding the unit in all kinds of strange positions to get the receiver to locate a solid signal, but it eventually honed in and now keeps PERFECT time. I'm thinking my neighbors got a kick out of watching me do that! hihi

BIGGER CLOCK EASY TO READ
I BOUGHT THIS CLOCK TO FILL A SPOT ON MY HOMEBREW CONTROL PANEL. IT FITS PERFECTLY AND CAN BE READ FROM ACROSS THE ROOM. IT WORKS GREAT AND LOOKS COOL.

Great Clock
I ordered this Clock because I have had problems keeping up with UTC/Local time reference. Now that they are both updated by WWV those problems are over. I have set the Local clock to accept WWV Daylight savings changes but rejected those changes for the UTC clock. Great Clock but a little pricy...Oh Well good stuff costs!!
